Project & Programme Management
Project & Programme Management are ND8’s core competencies. We provide a complete project management service, either taking projects from initiation through to delivery, or rescuing projects and programmes that have hit the buffers.
Our expertise in a wide variety of project management and software delivery disciplines including: Scrum, OpenUP, RUP, PRINCE2, & DSDM, allows us to fit straight into your standard delivery approach, or apply the best possible fit to the specific needs of the project.
We always aim to release software as soon as possible to maximise your ROI, and once committed to a project stick with it until it’s delivered.
As an alternative to running the project directly, we also act as coaches and mentors, providing your team with the support they need to successfully deliver on a consistent and sustained basis.
Credentials
I officially managed my first project in 1994, before immersing myself in the world of object oriented design and development.
In 1998 I found myself back in charge, project managing Armature’s first object oriented development. Though we delivered, it was a nightmare. I simply lacked the experience required for a hugely demanding project, but learned a massive amount in exchange for developing my first grey hairs. The scars, and the lessons stay with me to this day.
In 1999, I found myself back in the frame, a glutton for punishment, project managing at IFOnline, an Internet start up. As the company grew so did my role, and I ended up heading the product development function and programme managing all releases and associated business change.
In 2002 I was at ioko365, successfully managing projects for their clients including names like EMI and BSkyB.
In 2005 I was programme managing at William Hill, delivering business change and packaged solutions before being asked to rescue a £20m off-shored development programme that had gone pear shaped.
In 2009 I’ve just completed an assignment at moneysupermarket.com, delivering their re-design travel site, to plan, to budget and to a high level of customer satisfaction.
I love project work. I know my trade as well as anyone and better than most, and each project brings a new team, a new challenge and an opportunity to learn. Long may it continue.
